Forest Drought Responses in Northern California

September 21, 2023 by CNPS Staff

Evening Program, Wednesday, October 11, 7:30 pm

How does conifer physiology and growth change during drought? What happens after the drought? Forestry professor Lucy Kerhoulas and geography professor Rosemary Sherriff at Cal Poly Humboldt examined these questions of resistance and resilience for the 2012-2016 drought. They will also discuss regional trends in forest mortality and regeneration and how these varied with climate.
